Why we are building Auld

Agents are moving from single answers to ongoing work — supporting the same customers for years, following projects through many decisions. That work depends on memory, and most memory today is either a transcript pasted back in or a similarity search that cannot tell old from new. We think memory should behave more like a good record: dated, attributable, correctable and private by default.

An answer from memory should point to its evidence.
Scope by default
Recall respects who is asking, every time.
Forgetting works
Deleting a record removes what was derived from it.
Say what we haven’t measured
We publish methods before claims.

How we work

  • Plain HTTP first: no proprietary SDK is required to use Auld.
  • Documentation is part of the product, and examples are kept runnable against the published contract.
  • Changes to the API contract are announced in the changelog.
